Sights and delights from Sète to Bouzigues
Embark on a tour of the gastronomic capitals from Sète to Bouzigues
In Sète, stroll through the fishing village of Pointe Courte then continue to the top of Mount Saint Clair where you can admire panoramic views of Sète and its surroundings.
Journey onward to Frontignan and enjoy its famous Muscat wine, then on to Bouzigues, the cradle of shellfish farming.
Departure from Sète (Corniche, city center or on demand) or Balaruc at 8.45 am
Commented walk through Pointe Courte, the fishing village
Enjoy a drive through the city and up to the Mount Saint Clair so you can have a complete overview of the surrounding area (villages, sea, lagoon, oyster beds…)
Taste the famous Muscat white wine in Frontignan
Visit an oyster farm (“mas”) with the producer and enjoy lunch of fresh oysters, mussels and other seafood accompanied by another local wine the Picpoul de Pinet.Stop at the Pouget biscuit bakery and taste the hand-made lemon, vanilia and aniseed-flavoured boat-shaped biscuits (navettes), rolled waffles (chalumeaux) and other delicacies…
Return to Sète at 3pm
This tour is organised with producers who are passionate about their craft and happy to share it. Your driver will also share with you his knowledge of the region in French and a bit of “Setois English”!
